Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about Tandem. If you don’t see your question here, reach out via the Support page.
What is Tandem?
Tandem is a simple, social habit tracker. You build habits with friends, keep each other accountable, and celebrate progress together.
How do I invite friends?
From the Friends tab, search by name or email and send an invite. You can also share habits directly to team up on a goal.
How do notifications work?
On first launch, Tandem asks permission for notifications. You can adjust reminder times from your profile. We keep reminders helpful and minimal. If reminders aren’t arriving, confirm permissions are granted in your device settings and open Tandem once after updating to reschedule alerts.
What data do you collect?
We collect only what’s needed to run the service: basic account information and activity related to your habits. See our Privacy Policy for details on categories, retention, and your choices.
How can I contact support?
Visit the Support page or email contact@webchamploo.com.
How do shared habits work?
Create a habit and invite friends to join. Everyone sees the shared streak and can send nudges or high‑fives. You can leave a shared habit any time from the habit’s options.
Can I change or disable reminders?
Yes. Go to your profile and update reminder time windows or toggle categories like weekend motivation. Changes apply after the app schedules notifications again (usually instantly once the app is open).
I’m not receiving push notifications. What should I do?
- Check iOS/Android settings to ensure notifications are allowed for Tandem.
- Open Tandem once to refresh your device token and reschedule reminders.
- Make sure Focus/Do Not Disturb isn’t blocking alerts.
- Reinstall as a last resort (this refreshes permissions and tokens).
How do I delete my data or account?
Send a request to contact@webchamploo.com from your account email and we’ll assist with account deletion and associated data. See Privacy for details.
Is Tandem free?
Tandem is free to download. If we introduce paid features in the future, we’ll keep essential features accessible and communicate changes clearly in‑app and on this site.
